Who we are

A registered electrician, not a call centre with a van

We are a small London and Surrey electrical contractor based in Wallington, on the boundary between the two. Phil Boon, who comes and looks at your job, runs it and signs it off, and the number you ring afterwards is answered by him.

We hold NICEIC Approved Contractor registration and are Part P registered, so every piece of notifiable work we do is certified on completion and lodged with your local building control rather than left for you to sort out.

  • The same qualified electrician from the first visit to the final certificate
  • Fixed morning or afternoon slots, not a whole day lost waiting in
  • Dust sheets down, boards lifted and numbered, cleared up each evening
  • Certificates issued on completion, not chased three weeks later

Who we work for

Homes and businesses, handled differently

A rewire in an occupied family home and a lighting upgrade in a shop that has to open in the morning need different planning and different hours. Both are booked around you rather than around us.

Electrical emergency? Call-out including evenings and weekends

Covering London and Surrey, on site as quickly as we can. You will speak to an electrician, not a call centre.

How it works

What happens between your call and the certificate

No surprises, and nothing priced off a description. Four steps, and you know where you are at every one of them.

You ring or send the details

You speak to the electrician who will do the work. Describe the job, or send photos if it is easier. We will tell you straight away if it is not something we should take on.

We come and look

For anything beyond a small job we visit before quoting. Pricing electrical work off a description is how people end up with variations halfway through.

A written price, then the work

You get the price in writing with what is and is not included. Booked in a morning or afternoon slot, dust sheets down, cleared up each evening.

Tested, certified, notified

Every circuit tested and the results written up. Certificates handed over on completion, and notifiable work lodged with building control under Part P.

Why registration matters

What being NICEIC Approved actually means

Anyone can call themselves an electrician. There is no licence to hold and no legal barrier to trading, which is why the register matters more than the logo on the van.

NICEIC assess us every year. An assessor visits completed jobs, inspects the workmanship, reads our test results, checks that our instruments are calibrated and confirms the technical competence of our qualified supervisor. Fail, and registration is withdrawn.

How to verify our registration

Trainee electrician Taylor Boon testing at a ceiling light, with test leads running down to a multifunction installation tester
  • Every job certified on completion, and notifiable work registered with your local building control under Part P
  • Registered with a scheme you can check yourself, not just a logo on a van
  • Certificates your solicitor, insurer or buyer will accept without question
  • An independent complaints route that does not depend on us cooperating

Why us

The things customers tell us made the difference

The same electrician, start to finish

The electrician who looks at the job runs it and signs it off. Nothing is passed to a subcontractor you have never met, and there is no call centre between you and the work.

We turn up when we said

Morning or afternoon slots rather than a whole day wasted waiting. If we are running late you get a call, and if we cannot make it we say so early enough for you to do something about it.

Paperwork done properly

Certificates issued on completion rather than chased three weeks later, Part P notifications lodged with building control, and a schedule of test results and circuit details handed over with them.

We treat the property properly

Dust sheets down, boards lifted and numbered rather than split, cornicing and ceiling roses worked around. We clear up every evening because you have to live or trade there while we are in.

We diagnose before replacing

On fault finding we test methodically rather than swapping parts and hoping. It takes longer on the first visit and costs less overall, and you get told what actually failed.

You can reach us afterwards

The same number, answered by the electrician who did the work. Records of every installation are kept, so if you ring back in two years about a circuit we installed, we can tell you what is behind the wall.

Where we work

Electricians covering London and Surrey

We are based in Wallington, on the London and Surrey border, so south London and north Surrey are on our doorstep. From there we work right across the capital and out through Epsom, Reigate, Leatherhead, Esher, Woking and Guildford. We work by travel time rather than by postcode, so where you are matters less than how far away we happen to be when you call.

Installation of fan power supply and replacement of faulty plug socket

I have now used this company for three jobs, most recently installing a new power supply for a kitchen fan and replacing a faulty plug socket. Every time they have been excellent, with good communication, and they always arrive on time. Highly recommended.

LED lighting

Always great on communication, work efficiently and politely and respectful at all times. A lucky find who I now rely on in any electrical emergency.
Verified customer South Croydon, CR2 · Jan 2026

Common questions

Questions we are asked most often

Are you NICEIC registered?

Yes. We are an NICEIC Approved Contractor and an NICEIC Part P Domestic Installer, and hold City & Guilds qualifications. That means the work is assessed against BS 7671, the national wiring standard, and notifiable work in homes can be self-certified rather than needing a separate building control application. Any registration can be checked on the NICEIC website.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover London and Surrey. We are based in Wallington on the border of the two, so Sutton, Carshalton, Croydon, Mitcham, Epsom and Banstead are on our doorstep, and we work right across south London and out through Reigate, Leatherhead, Esher, Woking and Guildford. If you are unsure whether your postcode is covered, ring and ask.

What sort of work do you take on?

Domestic and commercial. Rewires, fuse boards and consumer units, extra sockets and lighting, downlighters, garden lighting, smoke alarms, extractor fans, electric showers, cookers and stoves, immersion heaters, electric radiators and storage heating, EICRs and landlord certificates, fault finding and emergency call-out. No job is too small.

How do you work out what a job will cost?

Every property is different, so we do not publish figures that would only mislead you. What moves the cost of electrical work is the number of circuits involved, whether floors are solid or suspended, how much making good is included, and whether the property is occupied while the work happens. For anything beyond a small job we come and look at it before putting anything in writing, because pricing electrical work off a description is how people end up with extras they were not expecting.

Do you provide certificates for the work you do?

Always. New circuits and installations receive an Electrical Installation Certificate, alterations and additions receive a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, and periodic inspections receive an Electrical Installation Condition Report. Notifiable work in a home is registered with your local authority building control through our NICEIC registration.

Do you attend emergencies?

Yes, and that includes evenings and weekends. If you have a burning smell, scorch marks, sparking, water in the electrics or an RCD that will not stay in, switch off at the consumer unit if you can do so safely and then call. You will speak to an electrician rather than a call centre, and you will be told honestly whether it needs a visit tonight or can safely wait until morning.
